DRILLING SYSTEM SERVICES
IDEEA, LLC will provide assessments of drilling systems types of rigs, from ultra-deepwater DP MODUs to 500HP land rigs. Commissioning and Acceptance New/Refurbish
During construction of the vessel and/or drilling unit in the shipyard or construction installation, IDEEA, LLC will discuss with the client the specific project requirements of the New Build. From this information, IDEEA, LLC will determine the disciplinary requirements of the project and will hand-select the appropriate individual(s). The resumes of these individuals will be presented to the client for his review. Upon tentative approval, IDEEA, LLC will arrange interviews (as required) so that the client will have the opportunity to meet and vet the individual (s) in question.
Rig Screening and Selection
Conduct paper and/or field surveys to recommend rig fitness for purpose based on rig specifications. Review downtime statistics and rig efficiencies. Correlate advantages and disadvantages for various options. Prior to contract award, include a list of identified discrepancies that should be resolved prior to drilling. Compare estimated costs for alternate choices using efficiency and downtime data.
Rig Upgrades
Review contractor planned upgrades; ensure adequate specification, fabrication, installation, and/or integration. Perform acceptance against defined criteria. This has been particularly useful to reduce problems that are commonly experienced as new equipment is added to an existing rig, and reduces problems found when drilling starts. IDEEA offers project managers that have completed multiple refurbishments form land rigs, Jack-ups and Semi-submersibles.
DROPS
Increase safety by identifying objects in the mast, derrick, and/or substructure that create a risk or are at risk themselves of falling from the derrick, such as improperly added lifting points on structural members, corrosion, and unrestrained objects.
